Who We Are
Bethlehem Ze-Ethiopia Humanity and Charitable Works Foundation is a testament to the enduring legacy of Ato Hailu Mazengiya, a renowned philanthropist and educator. Established by Desalegne Hailu and his family, our foundation honors the vision and compassion of a man who, in 1964, founded one of Addis Ababa's first private schools, Bethlehem, in the Lideta district. This school was established with the noble aim of providing educational opportunities to underprivileged children in the local community.
Our Commitment
Our foundation is steadfast in its commitment to providing humanitarian relief and rehabilitation to the millions of Ethiopians who have been impacted by the devastating consequences of war, drought, and other natural and man-made disasters. We are dedicated to making a positive impact by working towards the achievement of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their associated targets in Ethiopia by the year 2030.
